Firinda is a Ugandan soup made from unpeeled beans that originates from Western Uganda between Batooro, Banyoro and Bakonzo.[1][2][3][4] It is also known as Madakwa by the Congolese.[1] It is a soup that symbolizes hospitality, served on various occasions including traditional weddings, banquets and traditional ceremonies.[1]
