The ’stage’ is a thin strip of plastazote ( a high density foam) supported by a size 3 international or ‘continental-sized’ entomological pin called the ’stage-pin’at 90-degrees. The micro pin is pushed firmly into the foam stage.

The stage is positioned not too close to the top of the pin where fingers would damage it. Below are first the data label which reads Co.
