NkówáA Great Harvest. Women fighting food insecurity 01.jpg
English: In this photo, a group of women can be seen trying to purify a harvest of Soya Beans. This photo was taken from Alero Village, Agwicir Parish, Inomo Sub-county, Kwania County, Apac District which is located in Northern Uganda. This area is occupied by the Langi, a Luo speaking tribe. The Luo believe in communal work where labor is shared amongst one another. This great creates a bond between families and the general community and brings people closer together. In this photo, you can see women from all age groups, even mothers with young babies.Work which would take about 3 days for one woman is completed within a few hours by the group and then the next day they will move to someone else's harvest, whether Soya beans or maize or even cassava. Together, these women make the community stronger, because that is what they hope to achieve.
